Raychel’s career in music began when an opportunity to work with Kojo (Capital 1Xtra) led to performing backing vocals forLeona Lewis, Joe McElderry, Ollys Murs and the hit television show, XFactor (Syco).
After gracing stages like the Royal Albert Hall and the Emirates stadiumwith these acts, Raychel took a leap and released her debut EP, Right On Time in 2012,. This project was a collaboration of talents from singer / songwriter Jai Amore (Jess Glynn, Misha B), producers Show ‘n’ Prove (Rizzle Kicks, Stooshie) and also Nyce (Universal, Young Money).
Originally from West London, relocating to a popular East London location allowed Raychel to work on her music and begin her love affair with film and TV. Here, she worked alongside David Mitchell and Robert Webb in That Mitchell and Webb Look and Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller in The Armstrong & Miller Show. The hilarious sketch shows provided hands on experiences for Raychel and instilled a passion for working in that arena. Raychel has since worked on a number of independent projects and has appeared on screen and online for the likes ofDove, Google and projects in Dubai.
The forthcoming EP Ensemble is out in the summer of 2016 and is an energetic body of work introducing a gritty pop sound but also balancing 90’s feel-good vibes. Stay tuned for gig dates and video releases in the coming months.
